Wellness Device Buying Guide: A Checklist Before You Spend
A simple wellness device buying guide. Use this checklist to check claims, safety, price, warranty, refunds and the seller before you buy any device.
A good wellness device buying guide starts with a few plain questions. What is this device, who is selling it, and what exactly will I get for the price? Wellness products are easy to want and hard to compare, so a checklist keeps you calm and in control. This guide works for any device, from any brand, including OlyLife. Take your time, and do not let a countdown timer or a big discount rush you.

The wellness device buying guide checklist
Read each question below, then answer it before you pay. If you cannot find an answer, ask the seller. A good seller will give you one.
| Ask this | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| What is it, in plain words? | You should be able to say in one sentence what the device is and what it does |
| What does the maker say it is for? | Look for words like "relaxation and everyday wellbeing", not medical promises |
| How is it classed where I live? | Some products are medical devices. Others are general wellness products. The label tells you what the maker claims |
| Who is the seller? | The maker, an authorized seller, or a stranger on a marketplace |
| What is in the box? | Remote, cables and manuals can change the real price |
| What is the warranty? | Look for the length, who honors it and what is covered |
| What is the refund policy? | Get it in writing, in your language, for your country |
| What are the safe-use rules? | Read the do-not-use list before you buy, not after |
| What is the total price? | Add tax, shipping and any regional fee |
Check the claims
Be careful with big promises. A wellness product that promises to fix a medical problem or replace a doctor should make you stop and look again. Honest sellers describe what a device is and does, such as its plates, modes, timer and intensity levels. They leave medical advice to doctors. If a page claims a device will solve a medical condition, close the tab.
OlyLife describes its devices as general wellness products designed for relaxation and everyday wellbeing. They are not medical devices and are not meant for any medical condition. That is the kind of plain wording to look for in any product.
Check the safety rules
Every device has people who should not use it. The maker should list them clearly. OlyLife's list is on the safe use page, and it covers heart disease, pregnancy and anyone with an implanted electronic or metal device, among others. Whatever you buy, read the list first, and talk to your doctor if you have a medical condition.
Check the price against the right group
A price only means something next to the right comparison. Put the device in its group, such as a foot platform, a full-body mat or a clinic machine. Then compare it with others in that group.* The price vs the market page does this for PEMF devices and links each price to its source. Remember that devices differ in technology, intensity, size and regulatory status, so price tells you what you pay, not what you get.
For OlyLife, the Tera-P90 lists at $1,000 and the Tera-P90+ at $1,500. You can see more in the device finder.
Check the seller and the warranty
Buy from the maker or an authorized seller. For OlyLife, the where to buy page shows the safe routes. Look-alike copies sold on marketplaces are not covered by the maker's warranty or refund policy. For example, the OlyLife Tera-P90 has 365 days (official manual), but that applies only to real OlyLife products bought from authorized sellers.†
Ask these simple questions of any seller:
- Are you the maker or an authorized seller?
- Can you show me the warranty and refund terms for my country?
- What is the product code?
- What happens if I need to send it back?
Check yourself
The last item on the checklist is about you. Ask yourself whether you will really use it, where it will sit and who else may use it. A device that fits your routine is worth more than a better-sounding one that stays in the box. If a seller is pushing you to decide today, that is a sign to slow down.
