PEMF Clinic Cost vs Owning a Device: Cost Only

PEMF clinic cost versus owning a device, side by side. See how you pay, what changes over time and when a clinic may suit you better. Cost only, not results.

PEMF clinic cost is a pay-as-you-go cost. You pay each time you visit, so the total grows with every session. Owning a device is a one-time cost, and there are no per-session fees after that. This post compares the two on cost only, not on results.* It also covers the cases where a clinic can make more sense than buying.

How PEMF clinic cost and owning compare

The two options are built differently, so the first thing to see is how you pay. Here is a side-by-side view:

PointClinic or studioOwning a device
How you payEach visit, or a pack of visits, or a membershipOnce, at purchase
Cost over timeGrows with every sessionStays the same after you buy
Booking and travelYou book and travel each timeNone; it is at home
EquipmentOften larger, practitioner-run machines or full-body applicatorsA home foot platform; the Tera-P90+ adds handhelds
SharingOne person per visitThe household can share it, one person at a time

This compares cost, not results. The equipment is different, so a session at a clinic and a session at home are not the same thing.

What the clinic side adds up to

Clinics and studios set their own prices. They depend on the place, the machine and the length of the visit. Packs and memberships can bring the price per visit down, but you still pay for every one.

On the cost per session page we list real clinic and studio prices from the US, the UK and Australia. Each has a link to its source and the date it was checked.* Some studios even offer sessions on OlyLife's own device. If you want a number that fits your life, call a clinic near you and ask for the price of one session and of a pack.

What the owning side adds up to

OlyLife's list prices are $1,000 for the Tera-P90 and $1,500 for the Tera-P90+, checked on Oct 19, 2026. The region fee, from 0% to 15% depending on where you live, is added at checkout.

There are no per-session fees once you own it. The device ends each session on its own at the set time, so there is no clock to watch.

How to see when owning catches up

Use this simple method:

  1. Write down what one clinic session costs near you.
  2. Write down how many sessions you would book each week.
  3. Multiply to get your weekly clinic spend.
  4. Divide the device price by your weekly spend.

The answer is the number of weeks until the clinic total equals the device price. After that, owning keeps costing nothing per session, while a clinic keeps charging. The cost per session calculator does these sums for you and draws the chart.

When a clinic may be the better fit

Owning is not right for everyone. A clinic may suit you better in these cases:

  • You only want one or two sessions and do not plan to continue.
  • You would like to try a session before spending on a device.
  • You prefer a practitioner to run the equipment and answer questions in person.
  • You want a larger machine or a full-body applicator, which a home foot device does not offer.

Whichever way you go, read the do-not-use list on the safe use page first, and talk to your doctor if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or use an implanted device. A clinic will ask about your situation too.

A few points the money sum leaves out

Cost is only one side. Some of these points are easy to measure and some are not, so give each its own thought:

  • Convenience. A device at home saves travel time and waiting rooms. A clinic means leaving the house, but it also gets you out and into a space that is set up for the session.
  • Support. A practitioner can answer questions in person. With a device, you rely on the manual, the maker and your distributor.
  • Commitment. A clinic lets you stop at any time with nothing left over. Buying a device is a bigger step up front.
  • Refunds. OlyLife has an official refund policy for retail purchases. Ask your distributor for the policy that applies to your country before you order.
